 3- The young learner

a) Give a detailed explanation of what the children you know are like.

In my whole life i have known many children because i belong to an enormous family full of teenagers, adults, and children. I also have the opportunity to have a handsome little brother. He is a four year old, and i have a couple of stories with him. The first year in the collage, I was requested to give a classes to grade. It was a great chance to me to get acquainted with children. When i was a teacher, i figured out that the children at the school are really energetic. They never run out energy, and they also follow a leather. I mean, there is always a leather in a group of children. It is really curious to watch that. My little brother is a hard case because everybody has to do what he says in the exact moment. We are like their personal bondsmen, but it is really cute to see a smile on his face. He is not afraid of anything. Conversely, i have some cousins who are really shy. They do not speak at all at least the person theyare talking with is their parents. Returning to the main point, I met some violent children, but these ones get angry when they do not get what they want, but we, as parents, should not let the kid get away with it because they could become in a cocky person in the future.

b) Compare and contrast the characteristics of the children you know to the ones described in the chapter.

We can find some remarkable characteristics in the chapter "the young language learner" and i can confirm that there is a big difference between what children of five years can do and what children of  ten years can do. I can surely say that is true because when i was teaching in a school, i tested some students with some short exams. I have to say that these children had five years old. We used to reunite in a beautiful big gardenkids. We used to sit down whereas the benches or on the tables, but my point is that eleven and ten years old children used to sit with us. I gave them the same exam to see how they would react. Of course they always used to finish the exam faster than the five years old children. As we know there are kids who develop more intelligence than others at the same age. The same happened to me with those restless children. Another characteristic of young children is that they can plan activities like playing soccer after the class, or even doing any interesting activity. Actually, my little brother tends to plan activities. He says what is going to do after he finishes what he is doing at the moment. One more characteristic is they tell us about everything thay have done or heard which is totally true. You can experience it if you have young children in your family.

Children really have an amazing imagination which is another characteristic of them. Once in a while my little brother tells us stories about anything that goes through his head. It is really interesting to watch him because he is acting while he is telling the story, but everything he is saying has a logical reasoning, which is another trait of children. We could say that they do not understand us, but actually, they can understand direct human interaction.
