a) How useful is lesson planning for teachers?

A lesson plan is the instructor’s road map of what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during the class time. Then, we can prepare appropriate learning activities and develop strategies to obtain feedback on student learning. Now, we know what a lesson plan is we can say that it brings a lot of benefits for teaches because it allows them to keep in order each step that they will develop during the whole class. Furthermore, to have a lesson plan could be absolutely useful for teachers because it will help them to prevent monotonous classes, and at the same time, a lesson could even improve teachers to be dinamic. we know that there are a bunch of warm-ups that could help them to catch children´s attention. Besides, time will be pretty good managed in an accurate way since teachers have a lesson planning. A lesson plan could even help to plan the specific leaning activities. Learning activities should be directly related to the learning objectives of the course, and provide experiences that will enable students to engage in, practice, and gain feedback on specific progress towards those objectives.

 

b) What are the most useful parts in the lesson plan when teaching VYL?

One of the most useful parts in the lesson plan when teaching VYL is the timing. we have to make sure how long is going to take us to develop certain activities. Another one is the materiales that we will use during the class because we know that children at an early age pay close attention to the things that are on the wall or materiales you bring to the classroom. The activities are also important in a lesson plan it can be a game, or a song to keep the kids excited and ready to learn. Another one is a presentation because through this we can introduce today´s lesson topic. it can be a video, or any visual materiales. Besides, the practice is another useful part of a lesson plan. We should ask kids questions, and they will try to answer. if it is possible, we could let them to ask questions each other to create a friendly classroom environment. Then, we have production. Now that the kids are practiced they are ready to pass in front of everybody and the teacher will have to correct all the mistakes that they commit.

 

c) What was your own experience with lesson planning?

Honestly, I had a wonderful experience with lesson planning because it really taught me some steps that I have to do before a class. I mean, having everything scheduled and organized was a good way to avoid commiting mistakes. Besides, having a lesson plan is a perfect way to make still more interesting a class to children because we know that they get bored easily. Lesson plan gave me a more sense of guidance because as we already know, it allows us to keep on track. This not only benefits the teachers but the students also because they won´t distract with other topics. I mean, with the help of the lesson plan, the teacher can keep an order. Finally, it helped me to prepared the objectives with a great self-confidence.
